Where and When To Buy TBC Classic Phase 5 Badge of Justice Rewards
All new Badge of Justice rewards in TBC Classic Phase 5 come from new vendors. These vendors are tied to your realm’s Shattered Sun Offensive progression. So they will become available at different times for different realms. Do not expect any new BoJ rewards to be available immediately after Phase 5 begins.
Below is a list of the new vendors in the order they will appear. To help speed up their arrival you should complete daily quests offered on the Isle of Quel’Danas.
PvP Gear
Four new PvP gear vendors will appear on the Isle of Quel’Danas during the Shattered Sun Offensive. Once the armory has been retaken they will all spawn and immediately begin selling gear.
- Kayri – Veteran’s PvP gear for BoJ & Vindicator’s PvP gear for Tier 6 tokens
- Karynna – Season 1 armor for Tier 4 tokens
- Olus – Season 2 armor for Tier 5 tokens
- Soryn – Season 3 armor for Tier 6 tokens
PvE Gear
New PvE gear will be sold by Smith Hauthaa on the Isle of Quel’Danas (at the armory) and Anwehu in Shattrath (center room with the portals). Both vendors will offer the same inventory at the same prices, the second one was added to Shattrath for convenience.
Smith Hauthaa will first appear during the Shattered Sun Offensive after the armory has been taken. But she will not begin selling BoJ rewards until after her anvil and forge have been built, which occurs during the following phase of taking the harbor. Expect Anwehu to follow Smith Hauthaa’s progress.
Epic Gems
You’ll be able to buy epic gems with BoJ from Shaani on the Isle of Quel’Danas (by the harbor) and Ontuvo in Shattrath (center room with the portals). Both vendors will offer the same inventory at the same prices, the second one was added to Shattrath for convenience.
Shanni will first appear during the Shattered Sun Offensive after the harbor has been taken. But she will not begin selling epic gems until after the alchemy lab has been built, which occurs during the following and final phase. Expect Ontuvo to follow Shanni’s progress.
PvE Gear

Epic Gems – Where To Dump Your Remaining Badge of Justice During TBC Classic
Shaani on the Isle of Quel’Danas and Ontuvo in Shattrath will both sell uncut epic gems for 15 Badges of Justice each. She will not start selling until after the alchemy lab has been completed, which begins after the harbor has been taken.

Epic gems will continue to drop from Mount Hyjal and Black Temple. They will also drop from Sunwell Plateau. I expect prices for epic gems to crash once Shanni is up and running, thanks to the increase in supply. That said, I also expect epic gems to be the best use of excess BoJ. Use them to get epic gems you need and sell any others at the auction house.
Get Badge of Justice from All Raids in TBC Classic Phase 5
In TBC Classic Phase 5 you can loot Badge of Justice from all TBC Classic raid bosses, including Sunwell Plateau.
- Karazhan = 22 BoJ
- Zul’Aman = 13 BoJ (3-day reset)
- Gruul’s Lair = 5 BoJ
- Magtheridon’s Lair = 3 BoJ
- Serpentshrine Cavern = 12 BoJ
- Tempest Keep = 8 BoJ
- Mount Hyjal =10 BoJ
- Black Temple =18 BoJ
- Sunwell Plateau =12 BoJ
The new 5-man dungeon, Magisters’ Terrace, will also drop 4 BoJ on heroic mode.
It Is Not Worth Stockpiling Badge of Justice Beyond TBC Classic Phase 5
Badge of Justice offers no new value in Wrath of the Lich King content.
- No new BoJ rewards are added as a part of WotLK, WotLK moves on to use new currencies
- BoJ move to the new Currencies tab and remains bound to their original character
- In Cataclysm (expansion after Wrath) they are converted to an unfavorable 1.83 gold per BoJ and are removed entirely
In addition, the few BoE items you can buy for BoJ will drop to near-zero value in WotLK.
- Primal Nether and Nether Vortex crafted items are too expensive for leveling characters and are easily replaced once they start leveling in Northrend
- Uncommon gems from Northrend offer more stats than epic gems from Outland, and the new uncommon gems will be cheap to buy within a few weeks of launch
Given the changes that come with Wrath of the Lich King, there is no reason to hold onto Badges of Justice, You are better off using them while TBC Classic content is still relevant.
- Buy any gear upgrades you can use.
- Buy any epic gems you need for your new gear, including upgrades from Sunwell Plateau.
- Spend any remaining BoJ on epic gems to sell at the auction house while Sunwell Plateau raiding is still active.
